International Women’s Day was celebrated nationally on 16 March 2012 in Binga. The first three stories of this issue therefore speak to the theme of gender equality and women empowerment with a specific focus on rural women, gender based violence, and access to quality health services. In addition, this newsletter covers issues of equity and sustainability, including human development, capacity building, and youth empowerment.
